I love shadows, especially on a white building.
A couple of weeks ago, I painted in Chattanooga's Southside neighborhood.  I was drawn to this house because of the brilliant red reflecting and bouncing in the morning light.  I really liked trying to analyze the different colors of red.
The weather was so perfect a couple of days ago, I felt like it might be one of the last balmy days this fall, so after  chores, I set up my easel and painted Taylor's Ridge.  Balmy wasn't really the apt adjective for the day, it was more like gale force winds, but the colors were beautiful nevertheless.

Painting in Fort Wood

We painted in the beautful Fort Wood Neighborhood this past summer.  The morning light illuminating the sides of the beautiful old homes was so wonderful to capture.
